The CHALLENGE

Building a brand and audience awareness

Focused on raising awareness of Black History Month and celebrating Black Canadian women and girls, the socially conscious platform Our Mosaic Lives was created.

The SOLUTION

Needing a visual brand and a social media presence, Konvo Media was engaged to design the brand elements and crafted key messages, brand story and content. A website, social media accounts (including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) were launched, business cards and collateral were created. Publicity campaigns were implemented to raise awareness of the Our Mosaic Lives platform, the Art Exhibit and the Community Conversations series.

The RESULTS

The Our Mosaic Lives brand was successfully launched and continues to grow it’s reach and audiences. Over 30 pieces of positive media coverage were garnered during Konvo Media’s publicity period, including:

National online coverage on CBC News and ByBlacks; province-wide coverage on CBC’s Fresh Air and CBC’s Ontario Morning

Regional coverage on CTV-2, The Barrie Advance, Torstar Metroland, ROGERStv, and Barrie Today

Relationships were also key to the success of the brand and the reach of the platform. Our outreach included:

Partnerships we established between The City of Barrie, The Barrie Public Library, The YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka and ROGERStv to promote and elevate the Our Mosaic Lives platform

Sponsorships we secured with AMICA Senior Lifestyles and Allegra Printing to support the ongoing evolution of Our Mosaic Lives
