MEDIA RELEASE Glow Gardens 2019 - Christmas Glow will illuminate Toronto this holiday season

World’s largest indoor Christmas festival lights up Canada from coast to coast

TORONTO, ON (October 23, 2019) -- Let it GLOW! The world’s largest indoor Christmas festival, Glow, will soon illuminate Toronto with the twinkle of over a million lights. Set inside the Toronto Congress Centre from Thursday, November 28, 2019, through Saturday, January 4, 2020, visitors can escape the winter elements and enjoy family-friendly and festive holiday activities while they laugh, stroll and play in the lighted displays and interactive exhibits stretching over thousands of square feet.

The 2019 theme for Toronto is “Santa’s Lost Presents,” which invites guests to explore lighted trails and help elves uncover Santa’s lost presents. With traditional holiday themes, including Santa’s sleigh and his glowing reindeer, visitors will be sure to get into the holiday spirit. Glow’s illuminated structures are the perfect backdrop to create holiday family photos, lifelong memories and even the perfect selfie. Interactive activities and festive playgrounds provide fun for the whole family and are sure to entertain the kids for hours.

“Sharing the glow and warmth of the season with friends and family has long been our family’s tradition. Now we have the joy of sharing it through Christmas Glow events around the world,” said Lawrence Jansen, CEO of Glow Gardens. “It’s a truly magical experience to share with family and friends, making new holiday memories together. Seeing kids of all ages faces’ light up with wonder and excitement is what Glow is all about.”

“Glow Toronto’s unique appeal comes from using local vendors for the marketplace, food and beverage options, and engaging local charities, organizations and entertainers,” added Jansen.
While enjoying live music, visitors are invited to kick back with seasonal beverages at the licensed bars. Another highlight will be the pop-up marketplace featuring unique gifts and decorations from local vendors and artists for Glow visitors to make their list and check it twice. It’s the fun and joyful experience of an outdoor holiday market and festival hosted inside a warm and spacious venue.

Visitors can save 20% on selected tickets and 30% on seasons passes, while tickets last, at www.glowgardens.com. Vendors and entertainers interested in participating are invited to apply through the website.

Toronto is one of just two Christmas Glow locations in Ontario this year, with the other event being held in Ottawa. The very first Christmas Glow was held near Vancouver, B.C. in 2017, and expanded to Ontario and Alberta the following year. The events’ success sparked a desire to spread joy and share this magical experience across the country—with locations in Abbotsford, Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax—and internationally to Denmark. Globally, Christmas Glow features over 10 million Christmas lights and is expected to draw up to 1.5 million visitors.
