Afrika Nieves-Bentley is a publicist, writer and amateur flutist. Afrika has a degree in political science with a minor in human rights from Concordia University in Montreal, Que. and an advanced diploma in PR and strategic communications from Durham College in Oshawa, Ont. She is fluent in French.
 
Afrika is a self-proclaimed animal lover with four pets but still finds time to run 10-kilometre runs, listen to history podcasts and cook.
