Project Objectives

This PR campaign included an opportunity to introduce and highlight Beryl Bain as an intersectional Black female creative thus far, and as a first time playwright. We also garnered media traction for Marcel Stewart, as a Black Jamaican-Canadian theatre professional.

We delivered a PR campaign to amplify this production to  theatre and mainstream outlets, as well as racialized media. 

This included pertinent details about the production itself, and leveraging messages and narratives about Bessie Coleman, including the release of a Bessie Coleman Barbie, and the iconic Bessie Coleman Day flight, which took place in 2022.
